Abby's Story...
Hey there, hi there, ho there, I'm as happy as can be....I'm Abby, a great little couch potato if you ever saw one! I like other dogs and they like me too!

I am very loving and love to snuggle but I really like to do is run run run and play play play. I am a young strong gal so if you are looking for a loyal and trusty sidekick, I'm your girl! She is 1 year old.
~~All of the dogs at Lake Haven have been tested for heartworm, are up to date on vaccines and started on flea and tick prevention. If they are not already spayed or neutered a voucher will be provided at the time of adoption to cover the cost of the spay/neuter surgery. ~~If you're interested in bringing this wonderful dog into your home and making it part of your family please complete an online application at: www.lakehavenrescue.org. Most of the dogs that are available will be at the Petsmart in Grandville, on the 1st three Saturdays of each month. Dogs and puppies can be seen on days other than Saturdays with an approved application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Newaygo Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
