Bear is looking for a new home! He is very confused as to why he is not with his family anymore (they had to give him up due to family illness), so when he is left during the day in his foster home he does cry/bark a bit. This behavior will subside when he acclimates, but he needs a quiet home with no children willing to give him time to settle in. He may do well with another small dog, but is scared of larger dogs. He does not like being groomed, but a simple fix with a muzzle. He is fearful of men at first, but absolutely warms up! Bear is SUPER cuddly, loves the car, going for walks, and playing! If you can provide the quiet, understanding home that Bear needs and have experience with dogs with mild separation anxiety, please contact us!

Project Precious Rescue, Inc. is the love child of two animal rescuers who were unsatisfied with working for others. We rescue on our terms, dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, we do not discriminate against breeds, and we answer to no one but ourselves. If there is an animal in need, and we can help it, we do. We are a small scale rescue with ever changing adoptables, so please check in frequently to find your new best friend!
The mission of Project Precious Rescue is to rescue adoptable animals who may otherwise face homelessness or death, and find them carefully screened, loving forever homes. We will rely solely on our own funds and donations, and will not profit from our work. We believe every animal deserves a chance, and we do our best to help in any way we can.

If you are interested in adopting a Project Precious pet, please email ProjectPreciousRescue@gmail.com OR ProjectPreciousRescue2@gmail.com for an adoption application. After receiving your filled out application, we will screen your information and determine if we have a pet that is a good fit for you. There will then be a introduction and home visit, and if all goes well, an adoption contract and fee. When submitting an application, please bear in mind that we do this on our own time in addition to working paying jobs, so it may take a couple of days to get a response. Our adoption fees vary depending on age and type of animal (dog or cat).
We are currently serving all of CT - we may consider out of state adoptions in some parts of NY, MA, NJ.
