Scout's Story...
Jem and Scout were brought to us at our adoption event at the PetCo in West Covina. We were told they were found outside, but we know better than that. These cuties are loving and playful and would love to find new homes soon. We are estimating their date of birth to be November 1st, 2012. Jem (male) is much more affectionate than little Scout (female), but both would be great additions to any loving family. They have been raised with foster sister Noelle who was also born on November 1st. Let their foster mom, Lexie, know if you'd like to meet Jem and/or Scout, lexie@happystrays.org. They do not need to be adopted together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a La Canada Flintridge Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in La Canada Flintridge, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in La Canada Flintridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Canada Flintridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Canada Flintridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Canada Flintridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
