Bogus's Story...
Bogus is a 1 year old un-neutered male Border Collie mix who came to the shelter as a stray. He is a stunning red head with freckles to boot! Bogus is a fun-loving dog who really enjoys his playtime especially in the snow with his toys. He is good with other dogs and children.; however his behavior with cats is unknown. He appears to be house trained as he waits for the walkers to take him outside and does not mess his kennel. Bogus has personality galore and isn't shy about showing everyone how cute and clever he is. He walks ok on lead, knows sit and will work hard for treats and should be a quick study for further training. Bogus allows full handling and though he still jumps up drops down quickly when instructed. He's a nice sized and even with all the energy he exudes shouldn't be too much to handle except for possibly very young children. Bogus will require a home and family who are active and will keep him mentally stimulated as well as physically active. Bogus is ready and waiting for a new home, stop by today to meet this handsome fellow.

If you want to apply for Bogus click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bogus, a Meridian Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
