Trucker's Story...
Meet Trucker! He is a loving small sized dog, weighing in around 10-15lbs. We believe he is a 1-2 year old dachshund and sheltie mix. His coat is full of different colors and those ears are just to die for! He enjoys car rides and playing with dogs of all ages! Trucker walks great on the leash as well. He is shy at first, but quickly warms up to you so he can sit on your lap! He enjoys chewing on antlers and curling up in a warm dog bed. He seems to have the house training, and crate training down... so maybe he was someone's lap dog? Trucker is looking for another lap to lay on to pass the time away! Can you truck your way on over to adopt Trucker? He is being fostered in Spring Grove, PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trucker, a Hanover Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
