Toby's Story...
My name is Toby. I'm a silkie haired terrier that was found wandering in the country. I'm about two years old, and 14 pounds of love and kisses! I'm house trained, and have learned to love my crate so much I use it for napping now! I love other dogs and cats, and my foster mama says I do great with bath time, nail trimming and walking on a leash. What I love the most is to snuggle up with my two legged friends at every opportunity!

***All of our dogs are located in TN, unless otherwise stated in their bio above. We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. We have a handful of foster homes up North, but the vast majority of dogs reside in TN. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Naugatuck Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Naugatuck, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Naugatuck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naugatuck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naugatuck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naugatuck paves the way for another one to be saved.
