My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update Bio 1/4/13: Today Faith had her re-check and has made great gains. With previous blood tests, she showed high in several areas which are now within the normal range. Her vet is very, very happy to see she had gained a pound as well. She is continuing on an antibiotic for about three more weeks, and at the end of that, if all her counts are the same, she will be ready for a dental to get rid of all those awful teeth.
Faith is an affectionate, smart girl, and will soon be looking for her forever home. She deserves a wonderful, loving home, to make up for the rough times she has gone through. If you think you would like to love her forever, please consider making Faith part of your family.

Initial bio 12/4/12: Faith is a sweet girl who was rescued by a UYR member from a shelter in San Antonio, Texas. She is approximately 10 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She was pretty weak and the shelter was about to euthanize her. As soon as we got her, we took Faith to the vet where we found not only was she emaciated, but she also had very bad teeth, blood counts that weren’t great, and a mildly enlarged liver. The most important thing was to get her strong nutritionally, and recheck later for her other issues.
