Wally - Sweetest Little Man!'s Story...
**Update** (12/13/13) We just adore our little man, Wally. He is perfect in his foster home.....gets along with all of the other dogs, and just loves his mom especially! Wally is a little shy, but warms up when he knows that he is safe. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET WALLY, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com. (7/25/13) We tried to place Wally in a new home, but discovered that he is very afraid of young children. His personality changes when he is around them. Wally would do best in a more quiet home.....and is a perfect candidate for our "Seniors for Seniors" Program. He is a quiet, mellow little man. TO MEET WALLY, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com. (3/16/13) Our little man, Wally, has been so patient.....hoping that his new family would find him! He has now been in our foster system for several months and is just a perfect little gentleman. But Wally deserves to have a family of his very own to love him forever! Would you like to meet our little man? TO ADOPT WALLY, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com. (8/13/12) Little Wally has received his heartworm treatment and is doing great! He is now ready to find his new family and a new life! TO ADOPT WALLY, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com. (7/26/12) As if being dumped by his owners wasn't bad enough, Wally just tested positive for heartworm. He is being examined by a vet to confirm that he is healthy enough for the treatment. If so, he should be good as new in a few weeks. Please say a prayer for our sweet little man, Wallace! (7/25/12) Another victim of owner surrender......Wally was surrendered by his owner that said they couldn't keep him because they were afraid an elderly family member would trip over him. He is very sweet and loves attention. Wally is good with other dogs. The previous owner said that he is good with children, however due to his size, he would not be adopted to a family with very young children. He weighs about 7lbs. Wally is UTD on all of his vacs, and he is being neutered next week. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING OR ADOPTING WALLY, PLEASE EMAIL AngelsAmongUsRS@live.com.

About Angels Among Us Animal Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue focuses on senior dog adoption and hospice care. We pull most of our rescue dogs from high kill shelters where seniors have no chance of adoption. We also take owner surrenders when the owner can no longer care for their senior dog. We have foster homes in several states for our adoptable seniors. We are especially proud of our "Seniors for Seniors" Program where we match our adoptable senior dogs with senior citizens. We have fundraising events so that we can donate the vetting for this program. We rescue dogs with special needs who are blind, deaf, arthritic, diabetic...as well as dogs with serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, etc. We have three foster homes that specialize in the care of our Resident Angels, our hospice cases. We are an all volunteer organization, and we are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and help with fundraising.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application, vet reference check, personal references and a home visit prior to approval. We accept adoption donations to go toward our vetting costs for each dog. Their is no adoption fee/donation for our "Seniors for Seniors" Program which matches our senior dogs with senior citizens.
