Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful beagle mix "Sudie" came to our organization because we were first notified about a litter of 8 beagle mix pups that were in pitiful condition and needed rescue. When our volunteer went to retrieve the pups, it turned out that their sweet mama needed rescue equally as desperately as the babies.
All were cases of neglect and needed a lot of TLC to bring them to good health. The pups have all been adopted now, and Sudie (formerly named Snoopy) deserves to find her own forever home, too. She is a very sweet dog who is somewhat shy at first but warms up once she gets to know you. She has the most unusual and lovely coloring, a deep liver shade of brown with cute little freckles on her ears, and the classic white feet and white blaze on her face that indicates some beagle heritage in her past.
Sudie likes to play with the other beagles in her foster home, and loves her toy donut! Her foster mom reports that she is a special girl and will be a great addition to a family with other dogs, which will give her the confidence she needs, or with a special person who has time to spend with her and will love her unconditionally. She is approximately 1-1/2 to 2 years old, weighs 28 lbs. and is housetrained, has been vaccinated, spayed, tested heartworm negative and is current on monthly preventatives. Because she is a beagle mix, her adoption fee is $175 rather than our usual $225. To meet Sudie or any of our other adoptable dogs, please go to our website at www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org and follow the instructions on adoption.
