Belle's Story...
Hi, my name is Belle. I love meeting new people I see at the pound and I get along well with the other dogs here. I sleep nextdoor to Whisper, another dog here at the pound. Our kennel is only divided by fencing and our kuranda beds are next to eachother so we sleep right net to eachother. It is nice to have a friend to curl up next to. But I need to find my furever home soon!! Please come meet me!

About Our Shelter...
The Columbiana County Dog Pound is a small, rural shelter in eastern Ohio. At one time, only a small percentage of the dogs entering the Pound made it out alive. Now, thanks to the vision of the County Commissioners, the Pound staff, and a dedicated group of volunteers, the Pound has become a source of hope. It is a place where lives are saved, not lost.

Columbiana was one of the first counties in the state to require that all dogs be spayed/neutered before leaving the Pound. This policy addresses the pet overpopulation problem at its source.

Hours:
Monday - Wednesday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Thursday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Friday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Saturday: 9am to 12pm
Sunday: Closed.
If these times are inconvenient for you, call the staff and arrange a time to meet the dogs...

Our Adoption Process...
The adoption fee is $100, which includes a DHLPP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, de-worming, an Ohio dog license, and spay/neuter surgery. Additional low-cost vet care is available upon request.

Approved rescue groups can pull dogs at reduced fees.
