Anson's Story...
Anson is a very sweet cat. He is a little shy at first but will eventually warm up. And when he warms up, watch out! He wants to be your best friend and will follow you everywhere! He constantly likes to be by your side and tends to get under your feet at times. Anson prefers to cuddle next to you instead of in your lap. And he really likes to sleep in bed with you.

When Anson was first introduced to the dogs of his foster home, he hid for a few days very afraid of them. Gradually he would come out and observe and finally he realized they meant him no harm. Now Anson loves being around the dogs and even gets in a game of play with them. He also gets along great with the other cats in the house. He loves having a playmate. Anson would make an awesome addition to any household!

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anson, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
