Taz's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Taz's Story...
Taz is a 4 year old large male Pointer mix. He came to us from the Austin City dog pound originally a couple years ago, and we adopted him out. His prior home kept him outside kenneled and recently decided to have us find him another home. For his next home, we think Taz would like to be an indoor family pet. Taz is big strong fellow but is also very smart and already knows how to “sit”. He’s done pretty well getting along with other dogs at our Shelter. He will need some moderate exercise on a regular basis. Taz keeps his kennel pen clean so hopefully he is on his way to being housetrained. The adoption fee for Taz is $75. We utilize a short adoption application form to assess compatibility between dogs and their prospective homes. This form is a simple one-sided Microsoft Word document and it can be e-mailed to you upon request. If you would like to receive the form via e-mail, or if you have any other questions, please send us an e-mail message.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taz, a Austin Pointer/Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Blue Heeler for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pointer/Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Pointer/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
