Pooky's Story...
I was smart enough to know a good thing when I saw it!

It was a dark and stormy night....
when I jumped into a warm car and cried for help. It is a miracle that anyone saw me since my fur is so black and it was a very dark night out there. I was so hungry, wet, and cold.

Since I’ve had loving care from my foster family, and I am a happy cat! I love to wrestle, take naps, and I especially like to play with older children (8-9 years and older) and adults. I live with dogs and other cats in my foster home and I like them, too. My fur is soft and silky and I like to be brushed. My foster mama says my fluffy fur doesn’t mat. Don’t you think I’m handsome? Don’t you think you should adopt ME!! >^..^<

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pooky, a Kalamazoo Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Kalamazoo, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Kalamazoo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kalamazoo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kalamazoo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kalamazoo paves the way for another one to be saved.
