Melody's Story...
Melody is a gorgeous fluffy little long-haired torbie (tortoiseshell-tabby) girl. She is a sweet and petite kitten under all that beautiful lush fur. She was born outdoors to her stray/abandoned mother, whom we also rescued. Please see the posting for Misty of Urban Cat Relief, she is also looking for a loving home.

Melody was very shy at first and spent almost a month adjusting to her new and foreign world indoors, but she is doing great now. She always comes out to greet her foster mom when she walks into the room. She also starts to purr like a little diesel engine as soon as she sees her!

She has turned out to have quite a peppy and cheerful personality. Her favourite toy is a feather stick. She will often roll over while playing with you. She's also very fond of pipe cleaners (the craft kind) and catnip.

Melody likes getting scratched and stroked all over, and adores getting brushed. She is a neat eater and good about grooming herself, but still really appreciates help with keeping all her pretty fur clean. Her voice has the cutest little trill. It sounds like she is trying to purr and meow at the same time. She is not a big fan of being picked up, but will tolerate being carried short distances.

Melody has been to the vet. She was spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed.
She is available for immediate adoption.

Approximate birth date: April 21st, 2012

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melody, a Toronto Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
