Dash's Story...
Dash the Dashing

6 month male pew. a LONE rat.
So named because he escaped when we first caught him into our car.
He lived in the dashboard for weeks before we caught him again. We didn't think he was in the car any longer because of the brutal florida summer pounding on the car. But there he was, and caught. Later on he was paired with Zigg who did not tolerate his presence and broke his foot. While recuperating, Dash escaped and lived on the lamb for a few months before he was once again caught. His foot has healed but he doesn't have full use of it.
This rat who had little contact with other rats, let alone humans presented a problem of where to start with socializing. We paired him with an ancient yet sassy female, crossing our fingers they would get along. It proved to be a great success, he had a cage mate who taught him manners and calmed him down, he had someone to groom and protect.
Now his lady has died and its time he go to someone who can spend lots of time with him.
Dash is now completely handable, but it's unlikely that he can be paired with another male without extensive introductions.
That's why he can be adopted as a LONE rat.

About Our Rescue Group...
MARR Stands for Mice and Rats Rights and was started July 29th 2009 on facebook.
Its MARR's goal to represent and protect mice and rats as it recognizes them to be one of the most maligned animals with the minimalist of protection, which ranges from none to accidentally some, and the least represented.
MARR's goals are to pass legislation, educate people on many aspects of rats and mice, and to capture and rehome wild and domestic rats and mice.
MARR maintains that Rats and Mice feel. They feel pain and they feel joy, which is all the reason we need to live with respect.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Locations will be displayed and meetups will be decided by the adopter outers.
Our Adoption Process...
We have a 15 dollar contract fee per animal. If you do not have a rat or mouse already at home you must adopt two animals at a time.
At MARR we believe you cannot truly put a price on a life, our fee is purposely in place to be more expensive then a milled pet, and to be more expensive then "snake food" and to stop anyone who may try to use our service as a seller platform.
The adopter shall have their own set of rules for when you adopt that MARR will look over and approve of, and which you must comply with.
Discounts will be applied for vegans, marr donators, and those who choose to neuter their rats.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
At MARR we serve the globe trying to rehome are smallest friends, the mice and rats.
We use a different strategy then most, that is, unless its an emergency, YOU are the temporary fosters, and WE try to put your pets in the spot light as much as possible.
MARR is an unofficial non profit, meaning we do NOT have a 501 status.
