Max - 20121727
Hi, my name is Max. I am a 4 year old Lab and weigh 110#. I am a big boy with LOTS of energy. I am housebroken and when left home alone I can be left free roaming. I mainly lived with adults but prior to moving to Florida I did get to visit with younger kids ages 5-10 yrs old. I may be too much energy for kids under 5 because as friendly as I am due to my size I may accidently knock them down. I do walk well on a leash but can be strong at times so I will need a strong handler. I do know basic commands including shake. I came to Suncoast with my brother Jake who is my best friend, but if we can find our forever home this time even if it means we don't get adopted together we know we will be o.k.
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
