My name is Junior. I am a 5 year old Lab/Great Dane mix and weigh 80#. I am a big boy so don't let the name fool ya. I'm as loveable as can be. I enjoy baths, playing fetch and tug of war and for fun and excercise I like to go for bike rides and jog along side you. I can be clumsy and sometimes I forget that I'm a big boy. I like other dogs especially if they are my size so we can really have some fun! I was loved very much by my owner and she saved me when I was a little puppy from a puppy mill. She raised me to be loveable and respectful but because she had to move no one would allow her to take me with. I know that the staff here at Suncoast will find me another loving home. Could that be you?

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY
