Meet our sweet Piper! The sweetest two year old spayed female. Piper will melt your heart away. She is fully grown at around 30 lb. and has the right level of energy to be anyone’s pet. Piper is great with other dogs, cats, strangers and kids.
Piper came to our rescue in Guatemala completely malnourished to the point she did not had energy to walk. She was also very shy. Despite her sad background, she is the most beautiful, smart and happy dog ever. Piper will be a great addition to any home.
Piper will be coming to the Seattle area in mid to late January. If you would like to meet her, you will need to fill out an application first. Please email to request one.
There is an adoption fee as we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. 100% of the adoption fee is used to cover Piper’s travel expenses from Guatemala to Seattle and to rescue more dogs in the shelter.
Shelter Info...
AWARE (Animal Welfare Association - Rescue/Education) is a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization, founded in Guatemala in 1998. AWARE is financed solely through membership subscriptions and private donations. The principal activity of AWARE is running spay and neuter campaigns. We have a permanent on-site spay/neuter clinic, run monthly spay and neuter campaigns using volunteer vets, and work to raise awareness for animal welfare in Guatemala. We also rescue and rehabilitate hurt animals. We believe in education as a sustainable means to embetter the lives of all animals, and we work to educate students in local schools about the topic.
Adoption fee will vary by dog.
An adoption application and contract is required.
All our adoptable dogs come from Guatemala. A poor country where dogs are malnourished due to poverty or are abandoned due to lack of appreciation if they are not pure breeds.
We are now serving the Seattle area thru a small network of volunteers to offer different and beautiful dogs.
