Vince's Story...
Vince and his sister Zoe were adopted as kittens by a couple, went through two children just fine, multiple moves but their family hit hard times and they could not keep them any longer and were going to have to put them down or have them live in a car. Vince is the more outgoing of the two. He likes laps, likes sleeping with people and is a pretty easy going and lazy guy.

Vince is 12 years old, he is 20 pounds and front declawed. He has always been healthy but is currently a bit upset about his world being turned upside down. He would love to be adopted with his sister Zoe. He eats only dry food(currently Purina One Hairball), does not eat treats or wet food and has always had excellent litter box habits.
Vince qualifies for Animal Outreach's Senior to Senior program. Any adopter over 55 can adopt Vince and Zoe at no charge.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vince, a McHenry Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in McHenry, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in McHenry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McHenry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McHenry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McHenry paves the way for another one to be saved.
