My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Vegas and if you'll take a gamble on me we can all be winners. Love me and I will follow you to the ends of the Earth.

I am a very active, healthy and loving, 9 year old, purebred Newfoundland whose family had a lot of major changes in their lives and felt it was best for me to return to HANR and I am now back with the foster Mom who loved me so in 2009.

I enjoy being a house Newf and will lie quietly at your feet or trot up for a hug and snuggles and my tail is always wagging. I love to go for walks and car rides and will even play games with you. I love children. I get along with other dogs and cats and really enjoy having a housemate to keep me company if you are gone on errands.

I am spayed, I weigh 114 pounds and I am up to date on all vaccinations and on heartworm preventive. I enjoy short grooming sessions because I love to look pretty for you.

Here is a link to a wonderful article on the joys of being owned by a senior Newf.

If you plan on submitting an application and you are out of our region, once your application is approved we require that you come to our area to meet the dog and foster family. If that goes well you will be able to take your Newfie home with you.
