Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Kegan and I am a really nice, red, 4 year old, smaller/medium sized cocker boy. I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a shelter here in NC. The shelter staff really liked me because I am such a nice guy and they were quite surprised when no one came looking for me. They thought that I could easily be adopted out because I have such a nice disposition, so I was sent to their vet to get my shots. But, they found out that I tested heartworm positive and they did not have the funds for treatment. They deal with rescues alot and decided to contact CCR for help, so that I could get my treatment done and then find a great home. A nice volunteer came to get me and brought me to this rescue. Thanks to these wonderful CCR folks, I have now had my treatment done and I have done really well with my recovery with no complications so I am a happy guy and looking forward to finding my forever home.
I am a really sweet, active, very outgoing, friendly guy and I am now micro-chipped too. I love attention and lots of tlc and I hope to find my way to my new forever home very soon. These nice CCR folks tell me that I will make someone very happy to adopt me and that I will be a wonderful cocker boy to add to your family. I do need to find a home where I will have a securely fenced yard and supervised outdoor time as I am a fast runner and I enjoy getting lots of exercise and playtime. CCR has learned that I do not get along so well with big dogs, but I do get along with most of the cockers here at the rescue. They really think that I might do best in a home of my own, or maybe I could be with a very easy going, dog friendly pal. Please give me my 2nd chance to have the home that I deserve, someone to love me and a great rest of my life. Maybe I could share it with you! I would love to meet you!
Kegan is now in a great foster home until he can be adopted. He is doing well, but is very hopeful to find his new forever home very soon.
