Foxy's Story...
Meet Foxy, a precious Papillon/possible Chihuahua mix. She is only about a year old and she is super sweet! She was found near a busy highway and was very thin. She is only 8.5 pounds and is still working on gaining a little weight. She seems to love everyone, even though she doesn't act like she has had much experience with people. She is good with cats and other dogs and is just a happy little girl. Because she was just found, Foxy is still working on leash training and housetraining, but she is very eager to please and is learning quickly. She loves to curl up with you on the couch and is a wonderful lap dog. She is very sweet and just loves to be with you. She has been spayed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, and is heartworm negative, so she is ready to find her new home!

Adoption fee - $75

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a Weatherford Papillon/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Chihuahua for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Papillon/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Chihuahua breeders who help with Papillon/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
