Henry's Story...
Henry is a lovely, large male kitty. He is not chubby, on the contrary. He is large-boned.... because he's trying to grow into a tiger. Henry has gorgeous copper eyes, and white paws and tummy. Like a tiger, see? :) This darling boy is gentle and never aggressive. He gets along with most other cats, and when he gets nervous he runs and hides. He's a little skittish around strangers, at first. Fortunately, he loves treats and loves being petted, so you will soon win his affections. He likes to be with people, and will call for you with a sweet little meow. Henry is neutered, up to date on shots, and is an indoor-only cat who uses a litterbox and a scratching post. If interested in adopting him, please email: There is an adoption fee and references are requested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Syracuse American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Syracuse, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Syracuse.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Syracuse already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Syracuse breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Syracuse paves the way for another one to be saved.
