Meet Tobi! An adorable three year old neutered male Husky. Tobi is very sweet with people and loves to be petted. As every Husky he is a big boy full of energy and will need a strong owner that is willing to provide lots of exercise. It's an ideal pet for a hiker and/or runner.
Tobi was surrendered at our shelter with his sister Lulu. They were left tied to the door of the shelter. We do not know exactly why. Tobi and Lulu are currently confined to a small pen in our shelter, which is no place for an energetic and beautiful husky. Despite this, Tobi is always the happiest and grateful dog to go out for a walk and to play. He is the sweetest and would be a great companion to an active person in the Northwest.
Tobi will be coming to the Seattle area in mid-February. If you would like to meet him, you will need to fill out an application first. Please email to request one.
There is an adoption fee as we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. 100% of the adoption fee is used to cover Tobi’s travel expenses to Seattle and to support more dogs at our rescue. We currently house over 300 dogs at our shelter. See more information at www.animalaware.org
Shelter Info...
AWARE (Animal Welfare Association - Rescue/Education) is a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization, founded in Guatemala in 1998. AWARE is financed solely through membership subscriptions and private donations. The principal activity of AWARE is running spay and neuter campaigns. We have a permanent on-site spay/neuter clinic, run monthly spay and neuter campaigns using volunteer vets, and work to raise awareness for animal welfare in Guatemala. We also rescue and rehabilitate hurt animals. We believe in education as a sustainable means to embetter the lives of all animals, and we work to educate students in local schools about the topic.
Adoption fee will vary by dog.
An adoption application and contract is required.
All our adoptable dogs come from Guatemala. A poor country where dogs are malnourished due to poverty or are abandoned due to lack of appreciation if they are not pure breeds.
We are now serving the Seattle area thru a small network of volunteers to offer different and beautiful dogs.
