Randy came to us as a stray. My best guess at his breed is American Bulldog and terrier mix. He has the body of the bull dog and the wiry hair of a terrier. He has a docked tail. He weighs about 50 pounds and is built stocky and to the ground. He is excellent with people and loves everyone he meets. He may be too over zealous for a small child. He would not harm anyone for the world but he might knock a wee one down trying to give love. He seems to get along with most of the dogs he has encountered. I think he would be best paired with a large breed submissive female. He also does not seem to mind the cats. I can't vouch that is he totally cat safe though. He don't seem to mind mine, but they are used to dogs and do not run from them. Randy is strong on the leash but we are working with him on that. He is crate trained, but he he needs some work on house training.

He will go to his new home neutered, current on shots and microchipped.

We do require a pre screen application to apply. You can get that on the web site at www.saveamuttkennel-va.info.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randy Betty's Dog, a Sherman American Bulldog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Sherman, or seeking a American Bulldog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Sherman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with American Bulldog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman paves the way for another one to be saved.
