Tessa's Info...
| Breed: | American Pit Bull Terrier Mix | Color: | Gray/Silver/Salt & Pepper - With White | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female |
Tessa is about 5 years old. She was abandoned by her previous owners and came to us about 4 months ago and has been crate trained and spayed. She cannot be with other females but is good with males. She's good on a leash but she mainly loves to cuddle. She has not been around kids but we would prefer her to go to a home with older kids, no toddlers/babies. Tessa appears to have had a couple of litters and is good with puppies. She's a sweet dog and will do well as an only dog because of her love for attention but she is good with males once she becomes familiar with them.
Rescue Group Info...
We have recently started our own rescue, so we are just puppies per se. We have a very strong love for this breed and want to spread the word on how great they truly are and deter people from believing all the myths about this breed. We decided to start this rescue because so many of these animals are being abused, neglected, abandoned, being bred for money and we want to make a change in these dogs' lives. We want to show them that humans are good people and become there companion as much as they are our companions. As a rescue, we are the stepping stone to show them love and prepare them for their forever home to a family that will cherish them and show them kindness. You can make a difference in these dogs' lives by giving them a second chance at life.
We will soon be showing at Petsmart. Until then, please email us and we can meet you in Tulsa or the surrounding areas.
Adoption Fee is $120
We have an adoption application to fill out and you must pass the home visit as well as have a veterinarian recommendation if you currently have pets.
Depending on the dog, most will require a 6 foot privacy fence.
If you currently have a male dog, we will not adopt out a male to do you (same with females).
Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate neglected and abused Pit Bulls, to educate and advocate the community on animal cruelty and breed discrimination, and to save the life of one Pit Bull at a time.
