Emily's Story...
Emily is approximately 6 months old, weighs about 8 lbs and is super social and outgoing with people and dogs. If you like to cuddle with a little cutie, Emily would be your girl. She loves to dress up and go out for walks. She is a Doxie mixed with a Chihuahua (Chiweenie) that we rescued from someone who was overwhelmed with too many dogs. Emily has been spayed and is current on vaccinations. Please call us at 818-407-4145 to meet this wonderful pup who is ready for her forever home or e-mail Lori at: lori@modernica.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emily, a Los Angeles Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
