Ruff Ruff! My name is Maverick

Maverick's Story...
Maverick is about 10 years old a Boxer blend fellow who's neutered, up to date with shots and a real darling who is looking for a new home in order to spend his senior days in peace. He is a beautiful golden red with trusting eyes and a loving demeanor. Maverick does have limited vision and hearing and will require a patient/loving home and an owner/family that can adjust and learn his quirks and requirements for handling. He does well with other dogs and cats. Maverick is really an EZ going fellow, once you've spoken to and touched him he's willing to follow where you lead. He's good on lead and knows sit and will work hard for a tasty treat. Maverick is bright and alert and kennels very well. He does have some rear leg issues, arthritis probably, so his exercise time is short and sweet. Maverick is social and loving but with some independence so shouldn't be a shadow underfoot. Mavericks fondest dreams are of a warm bed of his own, a yard or area he can explore at his leisure and some human companionship. We are so hoping his people find him here at the shelter but if not claimed he'll be available January 16th after 6pm. We encourage you to stop by and give this great fellow some of your time.
