Hi, my name is Contessa, but my friends call me Tessa! I was left alone in a backyard for months and months, so excuse me if I seem really excited when I meet you or see new things. I am really smart and everyone has been trying to teach me new things. I have heard them say I am a diamond in the ruff. RUFF! I like that - it sounds like a good thing! I would love to be in a home with people who know about my breed and can train me to be the good girl that I really want to be. I would do best in a home with no young kids - I am still young too! My friends here have also come to realize that I will do best as an only dog. Come and meet me - you will not find a more loyal friend!
Rescue Group Info...
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-based, no-kill organization. Started in 1993 Friends for Life maintains an adoption center for it's rescued animals, a low-cost spay and neuter program (grant-funded), and a network of foster homes. Friends for Life also attends off-site locations to adopt the homeless cats and dogs and the organization is always looking for help. Friends for Life does not have a veterinarian on site or on staff. We utilize discounted services of veterinarians kind enough to do so for our rescued animals.
