Riley's Story...
My name is Riley and I'm adorable! The shelter isn't sure what breed I am, but I can tell you that I am 100% cute. I was found near a reservation in northern Arizona. Friends for Life saw my picture (I was skin and bones and soooo hungry) and wanted to help, so here I am! I used to have to steal food, now I only steal hearts! I LOVE to cuddle! The vet said I have Tick Fever so I'm on medicine for that. I'm very sweet, and am so happy to be getting food regularly and to have a foster mom that I love! I'm in foster now and am doing great! I'll be at the shelter on Saturdays starting in mid-July - please call first to make sure I am there!

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a registered nonprofit, volunteer-based, no-kill organization. Started in 1993 Friends for Life maintains an adoption center for it's rescued animals, a low-cost spay and neuter program (grant-funded), and a network of foster homes. Friends for Life also attends off-site locations to adopt the homeless cats and dogs and the organization is always looking for help. Friends for Life does not have a veterinarian on site or on staff. We utilize discounted services of veterinarians kind enough to do so for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Gilbert Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
