My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wendell is such fun and probably one of the most charming and hilarious looking dogs you've ever seen. He is a low-rider, muscular and sturdy, with a definite Basset hound body and a totally mismatched head. He is about 44#.

He is a super sweet, affectionate love bug who is happy all the time and his tail is always wagging like crazy. He adores people and can't get enough loving and hugs. Though he is big, he thinks snuggling is a really great thing to do! Wendell loves strangers and cozies right up, giving kisses to everyone who tells him how cute he is! He is a fairly laid-back, low-maintenance dog who really appreciates the basics in life and only wants a comfortable home and a loving family. Lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime so he would love a fenced yard to hang out in.

Wendell enjoys outings and is well behaved in public but he is very strong and does need a fit owner who can take him for nice walks. Wendell isn’t crazy about other dogs so he would be best in a one dog household. He has spent his entire life with his sister, Wilma. He is around 8 years old but seems so much younger since he is healthy and fit. If you adopt Wendell, you will feel totally loved and adored by this wonderfully devoted boy. We are requesting a home without cats since sweet Wendall had a cat attack him once and thus isn't fond of them. Adoption donation $100.
