18 month old Black and White Male Maine Coon mix
January update: Can you tell it was Party Time for Sylvester? ( "who me?" ) Oh he had so much fun with his human friend. This kitty has an enormous capacity for enjoying life. Some family is going to really have fun with him. He is such a smart guy , you can see his Maine Coon intelligence in his face and his wicked sense of humor. He enjoys relating to his humans and provides great entertainment for them and vice versa. He would love some playful human children to match his energy and be silly with him. He is a wonderful young family cat.

Look at this guy!! He's a clown. Look at the photo's of him climbing, oozing, and melting all over my friend's body. He is totally comfortable being held in just about any position and he will certainly take positions you wouldn't expect like lying down, paws folded under him all composed and comfortable on the shelf of her, shall we say, "under the chin area." What cat does that? He does. He is a clown, a playful goof ball.
Sylvester is a perfect family cat. He is made for children. He has lots of energy> He loves all sorts of attention. He is a total comedian and is somewhat indestructible, though I am not suggesting he be mistreated at all. But he is just ready for fun and not shy.
His super long white whiskers show up nicely against his shiny black fur. He has vivid green eyes that are round and prominent. His medium length black and white coat is soft and silky, his tail is long and full and his tummy is bright white. He is an easy care cat and probably needs little grooming.
He will want to run about his new home and get into everything. And sleep with you at night. He is still a kitten in spirit. He is a pretty big guy and probably is still growing as Maine Coons do til they are about 3 yrs old. . He doesn't have the neck ruff of Maine Coons but he has the medium length hair and body type and he definitely has the personality that Coons are known for. It is a combination of intelligence and quirky eccentricity. Maine Coons are Characters and Sylvester sure is one!
He eats wet and dry and is litterbox perfect.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of purebred and other exceptional cats.
Our mission is to educate pet owners, breeders, and shelters about our breeds, and to place our cats with Forever Families who will give them the proper care and love they deserve. We carefully match cats with their Forever Families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs. Then we determine the best fit for both the cat and the new family. Please note that we do NOT ship cats.
Our adoption fee is $175 unless otherwise noted. This fee allows us to provide excellent vet care for the cats that really need it. The healthy kitties make it possible for the sick ones to be saved.
Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV negative. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. We ask that anyone wanting to meet one of our cats first fill out our online application. These cats are treated like members of our family, and we want to ensure that you will do the same.
When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in Rescue!
READY TO ADOPT?
First, call the name of the foster mother if you are interested in an individual cat. Once you've chatted, she will ask you to fill out our easy online application. Just "Click to submit"! Next, one of our wonderful volunteers will quickly contact your veterinary and personal references. Then they will give you a call to chat and answer any questions or concerns you may have about the adoption process. Once approved we will help you set up a time to come and meet the kitty or kitties you want. If it's a good match all around you will be asked to sign a contract and pay the adoption fee and you can take the kitty home that very day.
Our adoption fee is $175. That includes the kitty, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, tested for FIV/FELV.
We do not ship pets, however, you are welcome to put in an application and once approved make plans to come out and meet the kitty and fly it back with you.
