found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
Simba is a wonderful boy and will make a great addition to a home. He is house trained and is not destructive however Simba will need another dog in his forever home to help him on his quest to become a truly confident dog. Simba will need a strong, dog savvy family who is willing to continue the training that has begun in foster care.
Simba will do best in a home without children and he has not been around cats in his foster home.
Simba has a beautiful thick coat of fur - you can really see why he was named Simba - he's king of the lions.
Simba tested positive for heartworm and will receive treatment at GRFR's expense: one shot and then 30 days later two shots over a two day period. He'll need to be kept quiet during this 60 day period, no running or roughhousing. Simba is a pretty mellow boy so that should not be a problem. Simba will need to be kept on heartworm preventative year round for life. GRFR will pay for a follow up blood test 6months after his heartworm treatment is completed. GRFR coordinators will work with you to set up the appointments.
Some people might be leery of a dog like Simba who has had heartworm, but there is no need to be. It is both curable and preventable.
