RASCAL's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

RASCAL's Story...
RASCAL IS READY to find his furever family!! This precious Beagle Mix is 1-2 years young! He is around 31 pounds and is considered medium energy. Rascal loves to play and he’ll play with about anything you give him. He enjoys playing with people, other dogs, squeaky toys, balls, you get the idea! Rascal is very friendly and loves to try and be a “lap dog.” He enjoys being around people and will be a family’s best buddy. RASCAL would do fine in a household with other pets and/or children. RASCAL is presently in the 8-10 week CAMP CANINE PROGRAM, and when he finishes, he will be an AKC Good Citizen who knows basic commands (sit, stay, down) and other skills he’ll need to interact politely with humans and other dogs. He is fully-vetted, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you would like to meet this inquisitive happy dog, or receive more information on RASCAL, please give Lisanne at the Humane Society of Oldham County a call at 502-795-7151 or email!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RASCAL, a LaGrange Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
