Adele's Story...
Adele is SPUNKY! She handles herself well around dogs and other cats. She's fostered by a busy young family and is accustomed to the bustle of an active household. There are other cats, two dogs, and children in her foster home so she's seen it all! She's a small, wiry kitten with a huge personality and zest for life. Little brown tabbies are so fun -- they're fearless, curious, and totally durable! Adele is a neat girl -- fully litter pan trained. She loves to play and loves to snuggle up to a warm human at night. If you'd like to meet her, please email INFO@FORrescue.net to receive an application and talk with her foster mom. Adele is fostered in Madison, AL.

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
Our Adoption Process...
We have many wonderful dogs looking for FORever Homes!

Our adoption fee covers their complete age-appropriate vetting, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/flea prevention, and full medical records.

Please email us at info@FORrescue.net for an application to begin the adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adele, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
