Jack Daniels's Story...
Silly and sweet, Jack D is at a great age, young enough to adjust to new situations, playful but not kitten hyper. He is the cat that is "just right", he likes to be near you and get attention, but he won't smother you. He was adopted at three months and then returned when his owner got married to someone who didn’t think the whole package should include furry family members. Jack, is of course, a little confused by this turn of events, but ever an optimist, he holds out high hopes that his charming ways will draw the attention of a more permanent family.

Jack Daniels has always lived with other cats and is nicely sociable. While a kitten he shared a home with an Australian Shepherd and enjoyed her company as well. He is not a picky eater, has excellent litter box habits and is overall an easy cat to maintain. He may be a little uncertain at first due to the change in homes but he quickly warms up to people and is eager for chin rubs and play.

Jack is a great, versatile cat that would do well in most any home.

Jackie D was born in August 2011. He is neutered, has his FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, and tests negative for FIV/FeLV. Jack is ready to bring joy and laughter to his new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack Daniels, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
