Wonderful sensitive Elizabeth is 1 to 3 year old, spayed female Rottweiler and has been living with a foster family while she recovered from being neglected, hit by a car and abandoned by her previous family. Here is what her Foster mom says,”She gets along with the other dogs in the house (both male and female) and doesn’t bother the indoor cats. In fact, she has actually shared food with them. She was very thin when she came to RED, but has gained enough weight to make her healthy and beautiful. She comes when called, takes treats gently and doesn’t scratch at the door when left in the fenced backyard. She doesn’t bark without a reason and she doesn’t dig or climb fences. Her idea of asking to go outside is to look at the door, so she needs someone that is around her to see her signals for bathroom visits and uses a predictable schedule for outside visits. She sometimes stays outside when I’m not home but always spends the night (and a lot of the daytime) in the house.
We live in a forested area and take long walks on the logging roads with no leash. She likes to swim and races back and forth on the trails with the other dogs, always keeping me in sight. Beth does not like to ride in the car and needs to be crated for necessary travel. She would do best in a home with no children and adults who are kind yet firm and consistent with discipline. She is sweet and sensitive but needs clear rules and a leader. Adoption donation to an approved home 200.00.
