The first step in our adoption process is an application, which you can submit online at www.littlebitsrescue.org It does not obligate you in any way, but we do not arrange meetings or make telephone contact until we have one.
Kelly is a puppy who’d like to grow up in her very own home. She is 5 months old (D.O.B. August 17, 2012) and weighs 7 pounds, so she has probably reached most of her adult size. We know that Kelly’s mother is a purebred shih tzu,. We were told that her father is a bichon frise, but she appears to be more Maltese than bichon. She has a tiny baby face that just invites cuddles. Kelly had not had much human attention when she came to us, and she is still very shy. However, she is warming up quickly with patience will learn that people are okay. As a puppy, she will need someone to work with her on her housetraining. Kelly’s shots are all up to date, and she has been started on heartworm preventative. She will be spayed on Tuesday, February 5, after which she will be ready to go home with her new family. Kelly needs a fenced yard and an adult who is home at least part of the day. She will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 10 or with a dog weighing more than 25 pounds. She will need to be groomed on a regular basis, so please factor that in when deciding whether she’d be a good match for your home. Kelly’s adoption donation is $200, and she is being fostered in Birmingham, Alabama. We do approve out of area adoptions, but you must be willing to drive to the foster home within a week after being approved to “fetch” your new family member. We do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting this sweet baby, the first step is to submit an APPLICATION.
We do not place any dog in a home with "invisible" or underground fencing.
