Carlson's Story...
Carlson is a 42 pound, 2-3 year old male pit bull mix. As most of his breed are, he is absolutely wonderful with people and is easily handled with complaints about anything. He has gotten along well with all the other dogs he has been walked with, but would probably chase a cat if it ran. A great jogging mate, and companion! Is fairly high energy but gets better and better on the leash. Please go to petfinder.com/shelters/IN19.html to start the application for this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carlson, a Brookville American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog for sale in Brookville, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
