Taffy's Story...
Taffy is a 2 year old black lab mix, who has a slimmer body build than your typical lab and will weigh about 38 pounds or so. This young girl has had a least one litter of pups, and is just chocked full of personality. She could use a bit more leash training but responds well to voice commands, and is very people friendly. She is fine with other dogs, and just doesn’t pay attention to cats. A funny, cute little girl who is a real lover! Please go to petfinder.com/shelters/IN19.html to begin an application for this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taffy, a Brookville Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
