Gemini is a male black lab mix who is about 50 pounds and has shown himself to be good with both dogs and cats. He needs a bit more leash work, but is a quick learner and is being taught sit and wait, and is doing very well with those. He has a good bit of energy but is improving every time he is taken out by a volunteer. A smart boy with a great personality! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gemini, a Brookville Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
