Axel's Story...
Axel is a beautiful young husky mix who looks to be 10-14 months old and weigh about 30 pounds. He is a great walk and absolutely loves everybody. He loves cuddling and is submissive to other dogs, is baffled by cats, and is nearly afraid of them. He has the most vibrant coloring and a stunning face, and will be an excellent family pet. The volunteers love this one! Please go to petfinder.com/shelters/IN19.html to begin an application for this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Axel, a Brookville Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
