About Our Rescue Group...
Leftover Pets is a small organization with only 2 foster homes. It is our goal to find homes for formerly unwanted shelter pets and make sure these pets are happy in their new forever home. We can always use volunteers at our adoption events, help with fundraising or help with behind the scenes work such as website updates, e-mail newsletters, etc. Even a small amount of time can really help the animals!
Come Meet Our Pets...
We hold adoptions at the Petsmart in Duluth, GA. Cats are available in the 24/7 adoption center.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee is $25 for cats. All are spay/neutered prior to adoption. The cats are also tested neg for feline leukemia, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and are given an FVRCP vaccination. If at least 12 weeks old, the cat has also had a rabies vaccination. We do have a contract for you to fill out once you select the right cat for your family. All health records will be provided to you at the time of adoption.

We primarily rescue from the following shelters: Barrow County Animal Control (Winder, GA), Elbert Co Animal Control (Elberton, GA),Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter (Washington, GA) and Augusta Richmond Co Animal Services (Augusta, GA).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*Pig, a Braselton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Braselton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Braselton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Braselton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Braselton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Braselton paves the way for another one to be saved.
