Meow! My name is Merlin
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||White (Mostly)||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Has a cat ever been more handsome? Merlin is just delicious to look at and has a temperament to match. It is as pure as his belly is white. Although not fond of being picked up, petting sessions with this big boy are golden. He's a roly-poly who rubs, head-butts, purrs, and does somersaults, all the while chirping like a squirrel.
Merlin is assumed to be 3-4 years old. He was trapped as a part of a TNR project on the grounds of a monastery, but he worked his eyes on the trapper and convinced her not to eartip and release him. It was a good call. However, he did not do well at first in a no-cat foster home, spending his late nights at the window singing arias to unseen friends. He was soon moved into a foster home with other cats and just thrived in their presence. It is clear that Merlin needs a feline friend with whom to snuggle and play. His current pal is Fonzie, also listed on this site.
This 10-pound loverboy is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is negative for FeLV and tested "light positive" for FIV. He is not at all an aggressive cat and already co-mingles with both FIV+ and FIV- cats.
If you'd like to meet Merlin, prepare for your heart to melt. He's a wonderful boy looking for an equally wonderful home. Will it be yours?

Rescue Group Info...
The American Street Cat, Inc's primary focus is on TNR (trap-neuter-return), but the kittens and friendlies found during the rescue effort cannot be ignored. They are brought indoors, well-cared for in a non-shelter environment, and promoted for adoption upon a clean bill of health.
We are a small, new (2011), volunteer-based, non-profit organization, with no paid officers or staff. Any donations (of time and/or money) will be greatly appreciated.
We are committed to minimizing the pet overpopulation problem, thereby minimizing the homelessness of beautiful adoptables such as ours.
By e-mail appointment only. As they arise, adoption events will be announced on our website under Events.
Fees apply, and an adoption contract must be agreed to and signed. A meeting with your potential pet is required.
We like to engage in e-mail or phone correspondence prior to arranging any meetings, and we will send a draft of our contract for review.
