FOSTER HOMES NEEDED IN THE SOUTHWEST!
(The dogs in these photos are already in forever homes or foster homes. They are just an example of the dogs that ABGRA rescues.)
American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance (ABGRA) always needs more volunteers to fulfill our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes homes for dogs in need. We primarily focus on rescuing Brussels Griffons, Affenpinschers and mixes of these toy breeds.
We currently need foster homes in the Southwest states of Arizona, Nevada, and California. If you are an adult over 25 years old, work from home, have a securely fenced yard and can offer your time and love for Griffs and Affens in need, you may qualify to be a foster home! Most of our Griffs and Affens are rescued from puppy mills in the Lower Midwest. However the Griffs and Affens we rescue in the Southwest are primarily from county/city shelters and by owner surrender. We are a charitable 501c3 organization, so fuel to transport these dogs is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, as are monetary donations.
Please go to our website, www.abgra.org.. You will find more information there and our foster home application, which is required for fostering and/or transporting foster application. If you cannot volunteer, but would still like to help, monetary donations for veterinary care are always needed too!
Please join with us to help rescued Griffs and Affens become healthy, happy dogs, enabling them to find their forever, loving homes. You will discover that nurturing and rehabilitating these precious little dogs will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life! If you are interested in adopting a Griff or Affen, fostering is a wonderful way to find the right dog! Our foster homes have first choice to adopt the dog they are fostering!

Rescue Group Info...
ABGRA (American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance) & AAR (American Affenpinscher Rescue) is a non-profit national rescue group founded to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers. We strive to leave no Griff or Affen behind and rescue these breeds from commercial breeding facilities and city/county shelters when foster home space is available. We also accept owner surrendered Griffs and Affens. We are an all foster home based rescue that provides complete vetting for our dogs prior to adoption.
American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance Inc. (ABGRA) and American Affenpinscher Rescue (AAR) came into being to meet the needs of the Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers who are abandoned, might be abandoned, or whose circumstances we can improve.
We are especially mindful of the Griffs and Affens that have spent their lives in commercial breeding facilities and who will have a chance at a better life through our efforts. We also rescue both breeds from animal shelters and accept owner surrendered Griffs and Affens.
ABGRA, & our subsidiary AAR, is a non-profit national rescue group.
All adoptions go through our website-
We do not have a kennel facility and place all of our Griffons and Affens by application. All of our rescued dogs are living in foster homes where public viewing is not possible.
Our adoption donations are from $200 - $350 and reflect the vetting costs incured for each dog as well as some dogs whose costs far exceed the donation.
We interview all references provided and require a home visit before placements. An adoption contract is required. If the dog is returned within 30 days, a refund will be issued. ABGRA requires adopters be 25 years old, or older, and are looking for stable permanent adoptors. In most cases, these breeds are not recommened for families with young children or for people who are not home for long periods of time. They are the perfect pet for someone who can take their dog to work with them, work from home, or are retired.
