Sugar Cookie's Story...
A sweet, young adult white and black female, Sugar Cookie is docile and shy. But she welcomes attention from calm, quiet people who pet her and talk quietly to her. Once she trusts, she is very affectionate. Cookie loves to nap, but will also engage in play with those she trusts. She will make a wonderful companion for a patient person or family who will give her a little time to gain trust and will show her that she has a loving forever home.

About Our Shelter...
Branford Compassion Club (BCC) is a non-profit feline
rescue organization that serves not only Branford, CT,
but surrounding shoreline towns. The mission of the club
is to provide for the feeding, shelter and care of homeless,
abandoned and feral cats; to educate the public about the
importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible
pet ownership and kindness to animals; and to establish an
ongoing community network to achieve these goals.

Branford Compassion Club was founded in November 1997,
by a handful of compassionate Branford residents concerned
with the growing population of feral cats. The residents
united to form BCC to alleviate the hunger and suffering
of feral cats in this community.

Come Meet Our Pets...
The Branford Compassion Club is an all volunteer organization, and as such we are only able to be open on Saturdays from 11-3. If you need to come in at a different time, please call and we would be happy to set up an appointment with you.
Our Adoption Process...
At the Branford Compassion Club, we do require a potential adopter to fill out an application, which includes vet history and references, and is then reviewed by an officer of the shelter. Adoptions may happen the same day, if possible. There is an adoption fee of 125$ for adult cats and 150$ for kittens, this fee helps to offset the cost of all the medical procedures done prior to adoption such as:

Medically checked by a veterinarian
Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS
De-wormed and De-fleaed
Vaccinated against Distemper and Rabies (over 3 months of age)
Spayed/Neutered

The adoption fee also helps us to intake another cat once the space from your new family member opens up.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
North Branford, Branford, and surrounding areas if need be.
