Comet's Story...
Hi, my name is Comet and I'm an Australian Shepherd mix who was born on 10/23/12. My mom is an aussie shep/collie/cattle dog mix (mom is Vixen, who's also up for adoption) and my daddy didn't leave his card. I have 6 brothers and sisters, and each one is similar in coloring but so different in our markings.
I'm a bundle of energy and love to explore the backyard with my foster brothers and sister. I will be a medium size adult dog, probably around 50 lbs. I love to get belly rubs, give kisses and relax in your lap for a quick nap. I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home as well as the children. I'm working hard on my crate/pen training and once I get that down, housetraining will be a breeze because I am so smart, but I'm still young so it will take some time. I might even have accidents every now and again but that will just be until I et on your schedule. I do have cats in my foster home but they only come around every now and again. Even though I love my foster family, I can't wait to find a family of my own. Is that you?
Comet is microchipped & spayed and up to date on her shots & vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueAhart.org if you'd like to meet her. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Comet, a Cincinnati Australian Shepherd/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Collie for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Collie puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
