Jerry's Story...
Jerry was rescued from a local shelter where he was an unclaimed stray. Filthy and underfed, Jerry still weighed a respectable 130 pounds when we got him but needed to gain approximately 30 pounds to fill out and at approximately 12 to 18 months of age, still has a lot of growing to do. Jerry is non-reactive to other dogs and gets along well with children and all adults. A friendly and happy boy, he likes nothing more than to get belly rubs and lean on you to show his affection. If interested in adopting Jerry, please fill out and submit an on line adoption application found on our web site at www.sunnysaints.org and you will be contacted shortly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Bellflower St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
