Lois Lane's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Calico Or Dilute Calico | Age: | Young |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | 12-181 | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Lois Lane (or LoLa, the nickname our volunteers have given her) is a beautiful young adult calico who is still coming out of her shell. Unlike most calicos, she is quiet and timid. She currently lives in a room with 3 other female cats with whom she cuddles and sleeps (especially Alicia). She responds well to calm, quiet humans; after she gets to know someone, she plays and shows more of her personality. LoLa would do best in a home with experience cat owner(s) who appreciate her beauty, understand her timid nature, and patiently adore her while she comes all the way out of her shell.

Shelter Info...
Branford Compassion Club (BCC) is a non-profit feline
rescue organization that serves not only Branford, CT,
but surrounding shoreline towns. The mission of the club
is to provide for the feeding, shelter and care of homeless,
abandoned and feral cats; to educate the public about the
importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible
pet ownership and kindness to animals; and to establish an
ongoing community network to achieve these goals.
Branford Compassion Club was founded in November 1997,
by a handful of compassionate Branford residents concerned
with the growing population of feral cats. The residents
united to form BCC to alleviate the hunger and suffering
of feral cats in this community.
The Branford Compassion Club is an all volunteer organization, and as such we are only able to be open on Saturdays from 11-3. If you need to come in at a different time, please call and we would be happy to set up an appointment with you.
At the Branford Compassion Club, we do require a potential adopter to fill out an application, which includes vet history and references, and is then reviewed by an officer of the shelter. Adoptions may happen the same day, if possible. There is an adoption fee of 125$ for adult cats and 150$ for kittens, this fee helps to offset the cost of all the medical procedures done prior to adoption such as:
Medically checked by a veterinarian
Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS
De-wormed and De-fleaed
Vaccinated against Distemper and Rabies (over 3 months of age)
Spayed/Neutered
The adoption fee also helps us to intake another cat once the space from your new family member opens up.
North Branford, Branford, and surrounding areas if need be.
