Bastin has the typical JRT personality - active, smart and needs a home where someone has time to spend with him. The perfect home for him would be with someone that understands the breed and maybe has another dog that he can play with.

Bastin can be mouthy sometimes so I would recommend older children. He loves playing tug with toys with other dogs and enjoys their company. He seems fine with cats but the cat would have to tolerate his high energy level. He barks loudly so I would recommend that the family own their own home and have a fenced yard since he is very fast. Bastin is housebroken if kept on a regular schedule.
